freeProtractor (freeprotractor.com) is designed from the ground up as a client-side web utility. We do not require account registration, login credentials, emails, or personal identification.

  • Uploaded Images & Blueprints: Processed solely in your browser's local HTML5 Canvas memory. Never transmitted over the internet.
  • Webcam & Camera Stream: Used strictly in real-time within your active browser tab. No video or frames are saved or streamed to any external servers.
  • Angle Measurements & Logs: Stored temporarily in local browser state during your session and cleared when you close the tab.

2. Local Storage & Preferences

We use browser localStorage solely to remember your preferred theme (Dark Mode / Light Mode). No tracking IDs, advertising identifiers, or analytics cookies are stored.

3. Camera Permissions

When you click "Use Camera" to measure angles on physical objects, your browser will prompt for camera access. This permission is controlled entirely by your browser's security settings and can be revoked at any time via your browser address bar settings.

4. Third-Party Services & Hosting

Our static website is delivered via fast global CDN edge servers. Standard web server access logs (such as IP address and user-agent for DDoS prevention and static asset delivery) may be processed temporarily by the hosting provider in accordance with standard web protocols.
